Lime Application

Overtime soils become acidic and develop a low pH, often due to organic matter decomposition and fertilizers adding nitrogen. As this happens the availability of many nutrients becomes reduced. Lime applications help to balance soil pH, restore nutrients, and enhance the overall lawn health. The optimum level for maintaining turfgrass is a 6.5-7 pH.
Benefits of Lime:
- Enhanced response from fertilizer applications
- Neutralizing acidic soil
- Improved water penetration
- Boosted turfgrass color and density
- Promotes root development and growth of favorable soil bacteria
We apply lime with our Lawn Rejuvenation services such as Aeration, Dethatching, and Over-seeding. During this process we use lawn aerators and dethatchers to prepare the soil surface, remove compacted soil/organic matter and create a seedbed that provides moisture and warmth. In addition to this, Fertilizer Applications help boost lawn growth by providing nutrients directly to the seedbed and root zone.
